Tre Fontane Lodge is a One Star Lodge run by "AmaQhawe Tourism Services (Pty) Ltd" (the Class of '79 at the St Francis College), owned by the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood. We are also registered with TKZN (Tourism KwaZulu Natal). Tre Fontane is situated in the inspiring setting of Mariannhill in Pinetown, Durban, Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. Mariannhill, founded in 1882, and is one of the largest mission centres in Southern Africa. The Lodge is run by the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood, an international Congregation founded in 1885 at Mariannhill by Abbot Francis Pfanner. Tre Fontane (Three Fountains) is named after the Trappist Monastery in Rome, where Francis Pfanner (right) stayed for some time. The Mariannhill Sisters follow the example of Abbot Francis Pfanner to care for the well-being and spiritual needs of all who seek rest and peace at Tre Fontane.
